Hi there. You are viewing my old portfolio. While the site should function without problem, I am no longer updating this part (for example, I no longer create Flash interactive or code ActionScript). Please see my new portfolio at daigofujiwara.com

Position-by-position comparison of the Red Sox, Rays, and Yankees

The Boston Globe’s 2009 Baseball Preview section focused on the “American League East.” Surprise of the year of ’08, the Tampa Bay Rays, have joined perennial contenders Red Sox and the Yankees to form arguably the strongest division of the Major League. To compare the character of those three distinguishably different teams, this interactive allows users to select multiple player in different category, such as batting order, defense position, or whether he hits right, left or switch, and compare the total of different stats.

I pitched the project to the editor, collected the data (from mlb.com, and with help from Globe staff writers for projected order and such), organized the data in xml, designed UI, coded, and published on the site using CMS.
